Continuity Task Shooting Maps
Here are the shooting maps I drew up after bed and I discussed the storyboard.

Casting
Ben and I advertised our roles in our thriller film with posters which we put up in the drama rooms, however not many people replied to the posters and those who did wern't right foir the roles. In the end we found that some of our friends who do not go to the drama block, and therefore did not see the posters, would like to act as some of the characters. We than assesed their acting abilities and decided whether they could act well enough to act in our thriller.
Target Audience For Perfume Advertisement
The target audience for my perfume advert is young girls between the ages of 14 and 21 who may like to dress in gothic styled clothing or want to be different from everyone else. This is a very direct audience as the perfume may not appeal to many people other than that audience, yet if done well the advert should appeal well to that audience. The perfume is aimed at girls who deviate from the social norm and don't like all the glammed up adverts with celebrities and models in.
Analysis of my Perfume Ad
The image is long shot of a girl in which she is laying on a piano. To some people this could be perceived as seductive; a woman laying on a piano is used in some piano performances to be used as a sex symbol. This could indicate that the girl feels sexy due to the perfume, and that if you use it you too will feel sexy.
As the girl is on a grand piano, which are commonly used in large musical performances, it could mean the she feels comfortable and happy in front of a large audience now that she is wearing the perfume; people may think it will help them be more confident and buy the perfume.
Also, the girl is smiling which indicates she is happy and pleased; the perfume could be the reason she is happy. As the girl appears to be looking at you when you look at the advertisement it could make people think that she is doing it for a reason; the look has the meaning like, "If you wear this perfume you can be as happy as I am".
The advert has a gothic theme to it which could appeal to a particular audience; the perfume could appeal to young girls between the ages 14 to 21 who like gothic styled clothing/items. I would say the target audience age to be this as it tends to be younger girls that like gothic styles. The perfume may also appeal to people that like to be different; most advertisements are similar in the fact they have either celebrities or professional models, yet this advert has a normal, young girl who is not all glammed up and is not famous.
The use of the colour red, as well as helping the gothic theme, also can give several connotations to the perfume advert. Red can be associated with such things as danger and passion (danger: blood, passion: women with red lipstick in films, etc) which could appeal to some people who may want to live a bit more dangerously and have more passion in their lives.
Overall I think the advert does well in attracting a particular target audience, and a is also appealing enough for that audience to buy the perfume. The style and colouring work well in attracting attention and making the perfume look different the other perfumes; the advert singles this perfume out from the others.

My Perfume Ad
Here is my original photo. I took the photo with a black curtain in the background to make the picture darker so the girl stands out more. Also, I put her on a piano as it could be perceived as seductive or even musical to some people. Also, as she is smiling it makes her look happy and pleased (with the perfume).

I then started to black out the blue under the piano on photoshop with the magic wand tool, but some of the blue remained so I had to use the paint tool and do the rest manually.

For the title I used the line drawing tool and aimed to make a gothic-styled name for the perfume. To make the shadow behind the name I copied and pasted the name then changed the colour to grey, then moved it to behind the red version.

I found this perfume bottle on Google and decided the bottle would go well with the gothic theme. I then put the image into photoshop and cut the bottle down to what size and shape i wanted it.
Here is my final design. I put the perfume bottle next to the girl; this can look like its floating there, or even that it is actually sitting next to the girl on the piano. I used other gothic styled fonts for the other writing and put it all in red as it stands out in the black background. With the piano I erased the actual structure and used the line drawing tool to make my own piano structure in red; to get a monochromatic styled image, but with red and black. The girl is wearing a particular style of clothing which also helps to get the gothic style I aimed for.

Shooting Timetables
I have been trying to sort out when we can shoot our film; I found that one of our actors can't act in some scenes due to not being able to shoot on the only days everyone else can. So it's been decided between Ben and I that he will act in the last two scenes.

I made each person we need to be at the shootings, their own timetable so they know where they need to be and when, and also what they need to wear.
Here is my own time table I will be using to make sure everyone is ready to film and is where they should be at the right times:

Here is the timetable I mad for my project partner, Ben (who is also playing a gangster):

Here is Daniel's timetable, who is acting as our character Scott:

This is Tamas' timetable, who is acting as our character Tony:

Here is Tom's timetable, who is acting as one of the gangsters:

Props
Here is a knife I found that a friend's dad had:
(We chose to use it as it helps add the connotation of danger to the film)
Here is a picture of the prop gun: (We chose to use this as it helps contribute to the feeling of danger in the film, and also the dark black handle and metal look of the gun helps give an urban/industrial feel to the film.)
Here are some black handcuffs and duct tape we will use in scene 1 to tie up Scott: (We chose to use these as they help add to the dramatic affect of Scott being tied up.)
(We chose to use it as it helps add the connotation of danger to the film)

This is a friend's air pistol I have borrowed which is going to be used as one of the guns: (We chose to use this gun as it helps add the connotation of danger to the film and also looks like a realistic gun for one of the characters to use as a weapon; thrillers often involve gun-violence (e.g. Layer Cake, Sin City, The Lucky Number Seven)

On this barrel you can see "44 magnum" engraved in it, which we will use in an extreme close up: (This could be used for an extrema close up of the writing like in a scene in Snatch (Guy Richie).

Here is the briefcase I borrowed off my dad for the film, and some seal-able bags full of flower (to look like cocaine) I made to put in it: (we chose to use a briefcase to have the drugs in to help give the feel of being professional to the dealers, also, briefcases are commonly used in scenes in thriller films (e.g. Sin City). However, we chose to use a silver, metal briefcase rather than a black one (like in older thrillers) to give a more modern, industrial/urban connotation to the film.)
Locations For Film 2
Here are some pictures of the room we found for Scene 1 in the synopsis:

This room is my girlfriend's garage she is allowing us to use. We are going to film our first scene in this room to try and give the feeling of clostrophobia to the scene; the room is quite small. Also, it looks quite urban/industrial due to the walls and floor being grey, which is what we want to help the film be a thriller. (The items on the shelf will be removed.)

Here is the building I found when location scouting which we are going to use as the outside of the main building for our thriller introduction. (Scenes 4 and 6 in the synopsis):

The building has boarded over windows, graffiti, dirty and dark bricks and paintwork, has industrial looking fences around it, and is in an urban area. We chose to use this building because of theses factors; this is to help give an urban and thriller-type atmosphere to our film.
I will upload images of the other locations when I have taken photos.
